NJAASC Elects New Board Members

The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (NJAASC) elected two new members to its board of directors: Caroline Hauser, administrator of Florham Park Endoscopy Center and Hanover Endoscopy Center, and Sarah Malaniak, CASC, chief operating officer of The Peer Group for Plastic Surgery. Both Hauser and Malaniak previously served on the NJAASC board in earlier years with the association, Hauser for six years and Malaniak for three years, according to a release.
Cori Prisco, RN, administrator of Hudson Crossing Surgery Center, has been reelected for a second term as NJAASC vice president, according to the release. In addition, Board Member Alene Stewart, RN, of Raritan Valley Surgery Center, was named treasurer of the board.
“NJAASC’s board plays a key role in providing robust networking events and informative programming throughout the year, advocating for our members, and keeping them up to date on the latest legislation and regulations impacting New Jersey ambulatory surgery centers,” said Meg Stagliano, RN, president of NJAASC’s board, in the release. “We are excited to welcome Carol and Sarah back to NJAASC’s board of directors.”

- Sheila McAteer, Virtua Health;
- Joan McKibben, RN, CASC, The Total Joint Replacement and Spine Institute, NJAASC secretary;
- Aaron Shechter, Hackensack Endoscopy Center and Surgical & Endoscopy Center of Bergen County; and
- Meg Stagliano, RN, RWJBarnabas Health, NJAASC board president.
Founded in 1992 by ASC owners, NJAASC has more than 180 ASC members and 60 corporate and associate members.
