AAAHC to Host Virtual Conference on New Standards

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) of Skokie, Illinois, will host its first Achieving Accreditation conference of 2023 from March 20–22. The virtual conference will feature an in-depth examination of the recently released AAAHC v42 Standards and elective sessions covering relevant topics for primary care and surgical/procedural care settings, according to a release.

“This March, Achieving Accreditation will include a comprehensive review of the new v42 Standards in a convenient online format,” said Noel Adachi, president and chief executive officer of AAAHC, in the release. “Our online education program is designed to synchronize participant engagement from start to finish, providing more opportunities to network in real time with peers seeking accreditation or reaccreditation with insights from expert AAAHC faculty.”

Said Kimberly Grensavitch, AAAHC director of client learning, in the release, “Direct interactions with esteemed AAAHC faculty and experienced staff will allow for an in-depth look at performance metrics, best practices, and AAAHC standards. The interactive, virtual educational conference will also feature a robust schedule of panels and elective sessions on wide-ranging, relevant topics including promoting workplace mental health, advanced infection prevention, and Life Safety Code. Plus, participants will have front row seats to the reveal of the 2022-23 Kershner QI Award winners.”

AAAHC will honor the finalists and announce the winners of the prestigious Bernard A. Kershner Innovations in Quality Improvement Award at the Achieving Accreditation conference, according to the release. Now in its 20th year, the highly regarded program recognizes organizations that have successfully implemented meaningful changes in their operations to boost quality of care, patient safety and overall efficiency through quality improvement.
