Area Surgeons, Compass Surgical Open NYC Joint & Spine Center

Compass Surgical Partners, an independent, full-service ASC development and management partner, announced in a release the opening of NYC Joint & Spine Center. The ASC successfully performed its first cases in late December 2024.

Leading the facility along with Compass is a managing team of skilled, highly regarded physicians based in New York City and New Jersey. Located in Englewood, New Jersey, the facility offers outpatient total joint replacement, neurosurgery and spine, sports medicine, and other orthopedic procedures, according to the release. The surgery center serves patients throughout Bergen County and surrounding New Jersey counties, as well as New York City. The facility is just over the border from New York City, with easy access to the George Washington Bridge and the New Jersey Turnpike.

“NYC Joint & Spine Center’s mission is to provide high-quality outpatient orthopedic surgical care to patients who reside in New Jersey and New York City,” said Board Chair Roy Davidovitch, MD, in the release. “We have hand-selected surgical teams who are highly skilled in same-day surgical care.”

The 7,300-square-foot facility offers state-of-the-art surgical equipment, including a robotic-arm assisted system, which increases the predictability of the surgical experience during total hip and total knee replacements, according to the release. By offering surgeries that will cost less overall and typically require lower copays than those conducted in hospital outpatient settings, the ASC makes high-quality care more affordable for patients.

"Offering a concierge-like experience and nationally recognized surgeons, it sets a new standard for patient care."

NYC Joint & Spine Center is seeking Medicare deemed status accreditation through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, according to the release.
