Adding Cardiac Ablation Codes to the ASC-CPL

Research says the procedures are perfectly safe to perform in the ASC setting

ASCA has long advocated to add more cardiovascular procedures to the ASC Covered Procedures list (ASC-CPL), including electrophysiology (EP) study and ablation codes. Even though the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) chose not to add the codes last year, David Kenigsberg, MD, a Florida-based clinical cardiac electrophysiologist, believes it is only a matter of time before the procedures are approved for ASCs.
