The program for this year’s conference is approved for up to 12.75 administrator education unit credits for the Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) credential by the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC), provider #3272; up to 12.75 nursing contact hours by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider #6949; and up to 7.25 infection prevention contact hours for the Certified Ambulatory Infection Preventionist (CAIP) credential by BASC provider #3272.

Yesterday’s keynote session featured US Army veteran and Paralympic medalist Melissa Stockwell. As the first female American soldier to lose a limb in active combat during the Iraq War, Stockwell transformed her personal adversity into a journey of remarkable achievements. She competed in swimming at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics and later earned a bronze medal in paratriathlon at the 2016 Rio Games. Her story of resilience, determination and the power of choice motivated and inspired the attendees.

Today’s Celebration Luncheon featured ASCA Board members discussing One World Surgery and ASCA’s ASC Administrator Development Program; BASC representatives sharing updates; and the 2025 Nap Gary Award winner. Attendees enjoyed Dave Preston’s music during the leisurely sit-down lunch.

Later this evening, join your colleagues for a memorable night under the stars at Camp ASCA! The Gaylord Rockies Resort offers the ideal setting and ambiance for a party embracing the great outdoors. With delicious food and refreshing beverages, attendees will be able to take in the crisp Colorado air next to the comfort of a warm fire. S’mores will certainly be a welcome treat after attendees test their outdoor skills with axe throwing and other camp activities.

The Wellness Morning event today provided robust wellness activities, including a 45-minute yoga session, a 45-minute HIIT workout and a one-mile nature walk. This event, designed to get people moving, helped attendees stay balanced and start their day in a highly energized way.

For downtime, the resort offers a three-acre water park with stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, a relaxing spa, a large fitness center, basketball and tennis courts, and a Topgolf Swing Suite. The many onsite restaurants provide ample dining options. The Denver area has extensive attractions as well, including the views from the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, hikes at Rocky Mountain National Park, the beer-inspired wellness experience at Oakwell Beer Spa and the Meow Wolf immersive art experience.

ASCA thanks its title sponsor, nimble; platinum sponsor, Surgical Information Systems (SIS) | Surgical Notes; and diamond sponsors, Amsurg and Surgery Partners.
