triValence Expands Leadership Team

triValence LLC of Minneapolis, Minnesota, hired three experts to support its growth and strategic goals, according to a release. Latonia (Tonia) Kraus joined triValence as the vice president for strategic supplier engagement, Tyler Strain as the head of sales and Duska Anastasijevic as the senior director for enterprise strategy.

Kraus has more than 30 years in nonacute healthcare and supply chain leadership, with more than 20 years as an executive in group purchasing organizations (GPO). Before joining triValence, she served as a vice president of AdvantageTrust, the nonacute entity of HealthTrust/HCA, where she led sales, strategic planning and development for the ASC program and the sales unit of the nonacute care division, according to the release. She served as the vice president of industry and customer relations for Provista, a subsidiary of Vizient, following the MedAssets acquisition. At MedAssets, she was the senior vice president of Alternate Care Group, where she developed and led their nonacute division for more than 12 years. She served as a partner for Radiology Partners Inc., a GPO acquired by MedAssets. She participates on several other company boards and volunteers for various service organizations. She is a University of South Florida graduate and lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

Strain has 30 years in the healthcare industry and 20 years in sales for the ASC market. Most recently, he worked at SourceMedical—now Surgical Information Systems—where he became a top producer, selling clinical and management software solutions and revenue cycle services to the ASC and specialty hospital markets across the US market. He served as the vice president for sales and marketing for MEDIBIS, a startup software company providing web-based business analytics and reporting tools for ASCs. Under his sales leadership, MEDIBIS grew and was ultimately acquired by a venture capital firm. He continued his ASC sales leadership role at GENASCIS, a provider of revenue cycle management services, transcription/coding and data analytics. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from The University of Oklahoma and lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, according to the release.

Anastasijevic joined triValence following 13 years at Mayo Clinic, where she most recently served on the leadership team of Mayo Clinic Platform, a new business line and a strategic priority of the enterprise, focused on transforming healthcare by leveraging data, artificial intelligence and a network of trusted partners. At Mayo Clinic, she also was responsible for developing thought leadership and positioning strategies for the executives, according to the release. She managed a high-profile presence at gatherings such as JP Morgan Healthcare, the World Economic Forum, Milken Global Conference and HLTH. Before starting her career in healthcare, she was a journalist and a foreign affairs expert. Her work appeared in Time, Newsweek, The Economist and other international outlets. She earned her master’s degree in international relations and political science at the Central European University, Budapest. She lives in Rochester, Minnesota.
