ECRI Names New ASC Manager

ECRI of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, appointed Andy Poole as its ASC business solutions manager, according to a release. Poole's background in operational healthcare leadership in ambulatory care as well as across the continuum of care will help expand the multiple healthcare solutions that ECRI offers to ASCs across the country.

Poole began his career as a physical therapist, then transitioned to serve as the rehabilitation therapies director at Augusta Health, and later for the University of Virginia Health System. Most recently, he was the chief executive officer of Monticello Community Surgery Center (MCSC), an independent multi-specialty ASC in Charlottesville, Virginia. During his tenure, MCSC added multiple service lines and increased case volumes through developing partnerships with community physicians and local health systems, as well as implementing innovative reimbursement strategies focused on bundled pricing and price transparency. Poole is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the board of the Virginia Ambulatory Surgery Association.
