Carley Prejean visited Washington, DC, to advocate for ASCs for the first time

Last fall, Carley Prejean, administrator of Cardiovascular Institute of the South ASC in Gray, Louisiana, received a National Advocacy Day scholarship from ASCA. The scholarship is an initiative that aims to help offset travel costs for members who are beginning to explore ASC advocacy and want to get involved in ASCA’s advocacy efforts.

Prejean traveled to Washington, DC, to participate in National Advocacy Day. From September 15 to 16, 89 participants representing 30 states met with 122 members of Congress and their staff to advocate for the ASC community and discuss the importance of supporting the Medicare Beneficiary Co-Pay Fairness Act (H.R. 3006/S. 1776).
