DISC Surgery Center at Marina del Rey Now In-Network with Medicare

DISC Surgery Center has announced that its Marina del Rey, California, facility is now in-network with Medicare after meeting all qualifying health and safety standards, according to a release. The goal is to provide effective, safe, efficient, patient-centered, equitable and timely care.

The ASC, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care upon its 2023 opening, specializes in spine and musculoskeletal care. Procedures now covered for Medicare members in the 11,000-square-foot facility include total joint replacement, artificial disc replacement, microdiscectomies, spinal fusion and spinal cord stimulators, among others, according to the release.

“Today’s news underscores DISC’s commitment to broaden patient access to the highest level of spine and musculoskeletal care possible—all in a convenient, comfortable outpatient environment with proven faster recoveries, better outcomes and a quicker return to active lives,” said Luke Macyszyn, MD, a neurological spine surgeon and physician partner at DISC, in the release. “We’re very pleased that we’re now able to serve more Southern Californians as a Medicare-approved facility.”
