The Joint Replacement Certification is recognized by BCBS Blue Distinction for both inpatient and outpatient programs, according to ACHC’s website. The accrediting organization offers three kinds of Joint Replacement Certification: Advanced for organizations that perform partial joint procedures with no or controlled comorbidities as revealed by preoperative screening on an outpatient basis; Advanced with Distinction for organizations that perform partial and/or total joint procedures or cases of greater acuity and complexity on an outpatient or inpatient basis; and Comprehensive for organizations that perform high-complexity, high-acuity total joint replacements and revision procedures on an inpatient basis. For the Comprehensive certification, these organizations have a plan for continuous participation in research.

Certification by ACHC reflects Indiana Orthopedic Institute’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate higher levels of performance and patient care, according to the release.

Founded and led by Meneghini, Indian Orthopedic Institute has multiple locations across Indiana, including Terre Haute, Fort Wayne, Brazil, Greenwood and its flagship facility in Noblesville. The Noblesville facility received the certification, according to the release.
