Do you offer incentives to RNs who work longer days, more than 9-10 hours?

We use flexible scheduling to accommodate our clinical staff. Staff members work varying shift lengths — longer shifts some days, shorter on others — allowing them to complete their 40 hours in as few as four days when possible. We also provide one-time bonuses for shifts that run significantly longer than scheduled.

With summer around the corner, how do you handle overlapping time-off requests?

We maintain open communication about scheduling and encourage staff to coordinate vacation dates with their team, including management, to minimize overlaps. When vacation overlaps occur, we arrange temporary staffing solutions through per diem or agency personnel to ensure adequate coverage.
