ASCA board members elected Todd Currier, CASC, CEO and administrator of Bend Surgery Center in Bend, Oregon, as the new board president during a meeting held in conjunction with the ASCA + SAMBA Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C., May 13-16.

In his current role, Currier, a healthcare industry veteran of 20 years, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ASC. Prior to joining Bend Surgery Center, he worked as an ASC administrator in Wyoming, Montana and Washington state. He is an officer of the Oregon Ambulatory Surgery Center Association and was an original founder of the state ASC association of Wyoming.

“It is an honor and privilege to step into the role as president of ASCA.” Currier said. “Our members are the driving force behind this organization, and I look forward to working alongside them.”

Currier has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Southern Oregon University, is a certified public accountant and is a fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and anything associated with peace and nature.

“In the years ahead, we will remain focused on supporting our members in the areas that help them provide safe, high-quality care through advocacy and legislation, free education and benchmarking resources, collaboration with our state associations, and the flexibility to adapt to emerging challenges,” Currier said.
