New Jersey ASC association elects board officers

The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers elected Jared Gaccione, managing partner of Ambulatory Consulting Services in Florham Park, New Jersey, to the board for his first three-year term, according to a release. The association also reelected Elizabeth Convery, RN, administrator of Livingston Surgery Center in Livingston, New Jersey, and Trina Brinkley, RN, administrator of Freehold Endoscopy Associates in Freehold, New Jersey, to the board to serve three-year terms.

Other current board members include:

  1. President Meg Stagliano, RN, senior vice president of ambulatory services at RWJBarnabas Health in West Orange, New Jersey.
  2. Vice President Cori Prisco, RN, administrator of Short Hills Surgery Center in Millburn, New Jersey.
  3. Sheila McAteer-Sturek, RN, assistant vice president of ambulatory development and operations at Virtua Health in Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  4. Aaron Shechter, CASC, CEO and administrator of Hackensack Endoscopy Center in Hackensack, New Jersey, and Surgical & Endoscopy Center of Bergen County in Paramus, New Jersey.

“New Jersey’s ambulatory surgery centers continue to view the growing regulatory and business demands they face as pathways to innovation, greater efficiencies and superior care delivery,” Stagliano said in the release. “Under the guidance of the board, NJAASC is committed to helping our members navigate and succeed in this ever-shifting environment by providing opportunities to learn and become informed, as well as connect with resources and colleagues.”
