AAAHC announces virtual and onsite accreditation educational programs

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care announced two upcoming Achieving Accreditation educational programs designed to help ambulatory healthcare organizations strengthen AAAHC accreditation readiness and gain practical insight into the organization's new v45 Standards, according to a release. Offered in both a live virtual format, September 14-16, 2026, and an onsite experience, December 10-11, 2026, at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa, Las Vegas, the educational programs provide flexible learning pathways tailored to the evolving needs of ambulatory care professionals.

Designed for organizations pursuing initial AAAHC accreditation or renewing their accreditation status, the programs will provide participants with a deep dive into the new handbook, according to the release. The proposed v45 Standards introduce changes intended to align with the realities of modern ambulatory care, including new expectations and guidance related to responsible use, governance and oversight of artificial intelligence in clinical and operational settings.

“Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping ambulatory healthcare operations, clinical workflows and decision-making,” said Noel Adachi, president and CEO of AAAHC, in the release. “These programs are designed to help organizations understand the practical implications of the new v45 Standards, including emerging expectations surrounding AI governance, risk management and responsible implementation — while reinforcing that accreditation readiness is a continuous, 1095 Strong commitment to quality and patient safety.”

Both educational offerings will provide access to AAAHC faculty, surveyors and staff through sessions focused on accreditation preparation, quality improvement, benchmarking and practical application of standards, according to the release. Session content is curated to support primary care and surgical/procedural organizations.

The September virtual program offers education with the convenience of remote participation and on-demand access following the live event, according to the release. The December onsite experience will emphasize peer-to-peer collaboration, immersive learning opportunities and small group discussions designed to facilitate cross-functional communication and long-term professional connections.

“Achieving Accreditation provides organizations with flexible ways to engage deeply with the latest AAAHC standards,” said Kim Grensavitch, director of client learning at AAAHC, in the release. “We break down what these updates mean in the real world, from new readiness approaches to emerging areas like AI, so organizations leave with direct, actionable guidance they can immediately apply and stay survey ready.”

The virtual and onsite programs are designed to reflect AAAHC’s “1095 Strong, quality every day” philosophy, focused on equipping ambulatory healthcare leaders with tools, guidance and peer insights to continuously improve quality patient care and team safety practices, according to the release. Participants can earn continuing education units, including contact nursing education, infection prevention contact hours and administrative education units.
