ASCs provide high-quality, cost-efficient surgical care for millions of Americans and have transformed the outpatient experience by offering a convenient and personalized alternative to the hospital outpatient surgical setting.
Every August, ASCs promote awareness of these contributions by educating key policy and decision makers and the public about the many benefits ASCs provide.
In 2023, ASCA members opened their doors to elected officials and their staff from both chambers of Congress, hosting 10 facility tours, sending letters of support for the Outpatient Surgery Quality and Access Act of 2023 and advocating for the ASC community online.
