ASC Study Finds Colonoscopy Patients Prefer Propofol

Results of a clinical trial conducted at an Ohio ASC show that patients prefer propofol over a combination of fentanyl/midazolam as their anesthetic for outpatient colonoscopies. From a patient and provider perspective, the researchers conclude, propofol appears to be superior to fentanyl/midazolam for outpatient colonoscopy.

Regent Surgical Health Names New COO

OCTOBER 11, 2017

Regent Surgical Health of Westchester, Illinois, promoted Bob Ryan to chief operating officer (COO), according to a release. Ryan, who joined the company in early 2016 as vice president of operations for the northeast, has more than 25 years of experience working with physician partnerships in multi-site health-care facilities and managing physician/hospital-ASC joint venture partnerships.
