Attend ASCA’s May Webinars

ASCA will offer two webinars this month: “Cut Costs with a Collaborative Effort inside Your ASC” on Tuesday, May 8, and “In Print, On Air and Online: The Challenges and Opportunities of Media Relations” on Tuesday, May 22. Both programs will be held at 1:00 pm ET.

Tim Oliver, regional director of materials management at United Surgical Partners International, will present the first webinar and discuss what an ASC requires to cut costs, effective ways to counter physician-influencing vendor sales representatives, and tools that can help reduce spending.

Kay Tucker, director of communications at ASCA, and Charlie Leonard, public relations and public affairs consultant at OCNC Group, will present the second webinar.

Visit the ASCA Webinars page to register or learn more. Both webinars are included in the 2017 Webinar All-Access Pass, which includes the recordings and live events for all 17 webinars.

Make Your Voice Heard on the Hill

This year, ASCA will host its National Advocacy Day events June 4–5 and September 4–5. On the first day of the two-day event, ASCA staff will brief attendees on the legislative process and issues relevant to ASCs. Attendees will receive informational materials and talking points and find out who will accompany them on their visit to Capitol Hill on the second day.

This is your chance to meet face-to- face with your representatives on Capitol Hill and advocate for the policies you need to support your ASC. Visit ASCA's National Advocacy Day page to sign up and learn more. If you have questions, write Danielle Kaster.

Save the Date for ASCA 2019

Mark your calendar for ASCA 2019, May 15–18, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee.

Plan to extend your stay to take advantage of all that Music City offers. The Gaylord Opryland Resort is a city unto itself featuring 16 restaurants, a spa, nine acres of indoor gardens and waterfalls and an indoor river under a soaring glass roof.
